Our partnering company CRI Canada is excited to introduce the Learning Grant Program which will award 2 Learning Grants in the amounts of $1000.00 to eligible students for full-time study at qualifying Canadian college or university in 2015. The dead line to apply is April 30th 2015.
Eligibility Requirements: Any student who is a member of an Ontario Credit Union is eligible to apply for a Learning Grant provided the have received a valid high school diploma or will be eligible to receive a diploma during the year of application. Learning Grants are also open to first year post secondary students!
Applications: In order to be considered for a Learning Grant, applications must be received by April 30, 2015. Candidates may be asked to supply information on their ability to finance their education.
All Learning Grant applications must be accompanied by:
1. An official transcript of final results of all high school credit courses to date (and post secondary results if applicable)
2.One letter of reference from school principal, teacher, or professor/instructor
3.Put your thoughts to paper: An essay of 500 words or less OR put your thoughts to video: Send them a three to five minute video. Be sure to describe your achievements including academic, artistic and athletic; community involvement, leadership, and education goals.
Selection Process: The Learning Grants will be awarded on the basis of a number of factors that include academic achievement, artistic/athletic achievements, community involvement, and leadership displayed. A selection committee comprised of senior-level credit union employees will determine successful candidates. Application materials will not be returned to the applicants. Recipients of the awards must agree to have their name and photograph published.
